What is rise?
The RISE Youth organization serves as a supportive family for young individuals and is bolstered by the collective support of "the village," which comprises parents and community members. The organization is structured into distinct age groups, each catering to specific developmental stages:
Pride (Ages 5-12): This age group, known as Pride, focuses on nurturing the growth and development of younger children, providing them with a supportive and enriching environment that fosters their academic, social, and emotional well-being.
Passage (Ages 13-18): The Passage stage caters to adolescents, offering resources and guidance to navigate the challenges and opportunities of this critical developmental period. It aims to empower teenagers to overcome obstacles, develop their potential, and contribute positively to their communities.
Sage (Alumni Chapter): The Sage chapter is designed for alumni of the RISE Youth organization, providing ongoing support, mentorship, and opportunities for continued personal growth and community engagement as they transition into adulthood.
The concept of "the village" underscores the collaborative and communal approach to supporting youth, recognizing the vital role of parents and community members in nurturing and guiding young individuals. By providing a family-like environment and age-specific support, RISE Youth aims to empower youth to overcome challenges, develop their potential, and contribute positively to their communities and the world at large.
